Bellview Baptist Church news

Bellview Baptist Church is located at the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 146 six miles north of Woodruff. Its facilities consist of a sanctuary, fellowship hall, Sunday school classes and a family life center. It is also blessed with enough property to grow as God adds to its numbers in the future. We believe God has prepared Bellview for something special in the years ahead.

The above speaks of the assets Bellview has but it doesn’t talk about the real church. The real church isn’t land, buildings, and programs. It is people. Like all churches, our people are not perfect but they are real. While we aren’t perfect, we do serve a perfect God. This is why we think of our church as being made up of real people with real faith in a perfect God, who is in the process of doing something new and exciting with us. Because we believe this, there is a sense of excitement in our fellowship and we want to share it with as many people as we can. As we share, we don’t make any big promises. We simply ask that you come and see what God is doing in our midst.

There are many opportunities for you to touch base with us. We have two worship services on Sunday morning, one at 8:45 AM and the other at 11:00 AM. Between the two services we have Sunday school for all ages. On Sunday evening we have a worship service at 6:00 PM. On Wednesday, we have two opportunities for Prayer Meeting, one is at 11:00 AM and the other is at 6:30 PM. Besides these opportunities, we have great youth and children ministries. Our youth meet on Sunday evening and Wednesday evening. Our children attend AWANA on Sunday night. We also have an active ministry for our seniors. Our goal is to minister to every segment of our church family.

While we have been a fixture in the Woodruff area for many years, we believe our best years are in front of us. In years past, farm land was the only thing between Bellview, Fountain Inn, Simpsonville, Five Forks, Greer, and Duncan. Now there are new developments in every direction you look. This growth has enlarged our ministry field and provided us the challenge of reaching out in all directions. Our hope is to reach out to a ten mile radius and encourage folks from every direction to come and see for themselves what God is doing at Bellivew.

If you are interested in seeing for yourself what Bellview is all about, the month of April would be a great month to come and take a look. We have dedicated the month of April to revival. I will be bringing messages challenging us toward revival each Sunday morning and on Sunday evenings we will be having guest speakers and special music. Our guest speakers will be Rev. Brad Goodale from Philippi Baptist Church in Union (April 7), Dr. Mike Whitson, from Indian Trail Baptist Church in Charlotte (April 14), Dr. Mike Hamlet, North Spartanburg Baptist Church (April 21), and Rev. Travis Agnew from Northside Baptist Church in Greenwood (April 28). The service on the 28th will be directed toward our youth. There will also be special programs for our children and youth each Sunday evening. We invite you to come to one or all of these services and see what Bellview is all about. We believe you will like what you see.

In Christian Love,

Rev. Dennis G. Lynn (Philippians 4:13, 19)
